A Grammar of Dissent - Crisis Magazine

A Grammar of Dissent - Crisis Magazine: Analytical psychology provided a virtually limitless opportunity for Carl Jung to play with the canonical vocabulary, expanding it to describe what he thought to be wider realms of human consciousness. An example of his creativity was his concept of Synchronizität. This “synchronicity” described what he perceived to be “meaningful coincidences,” by which he meant events …

Invitation to parish evangelisation awareness day

  •

AN INVITATION TO EVANGELISING THROUGH THE PARISH EVANGELISATION CELLS SYSTEM (PECS)
Parish priests and lay parishioners who are interested in evangelisation are invited to attend an innovative outreach day led by cell members from two diverse parishes sharing the fruits, joys and challenges of parish evangelisation cells - Holy Innocents' in Orpington and St Antony of Padua in Forest Gate.
October is the month Pope Francis has asked to be an Extraordinary Missionary Month 'Baptised and Sent: The Church of Christ on Mission in the World'.
The two parishes have found that, in addition to members deepening and sharing their faith in the cells, many parish ministries have been re-energised and are experiencing fruit in evangelising in different ways.
Cell members will share their experiences and there will also be two presentations:
- Applied Parish Evangelisation using the Jethro principle of shared responsibility
and

- Pope Francis' Exhortation 'Baptised and Sent: The Church of Christ on Mission in the World' - celebrating the100th anniversary of Pope Benedict's XV's Apostolic letter 'Maximum Ilud'.
The day will be facilitated by members from the Parish Evangelisation Cells from both parishes and it promises to be an uplifting and enlightening experience.
If you, or interested parishioners would like to attend, please register as soon as possible as places are limited.
